I’m Too Slow

The problem with a 100% volunteer run organization is that everyone has major commitments outside of rescue.  All of us have work or families that are our “real jobs” and everything we do for rescue is done on the side in our spare time.maxt 5 Im Too Slow

Most of the time, we don’t take on any more work load than we can handle.  We spread the work around so people aren’t swamped (at least in theory).  But despite all that, sometimes we (and by we, I mean me) are so far behind, dogs get adopted before we (and by we, I mean me) can even blog about them.max Im Too SlowTake Max for example.  This handsome guy came into rescue on the weekend, a foster home took him in, he was groomed, his photos were taken and all he needed was some witty words to be written so that one lucky reader would fall in love and take him home with them.  While waiting for inspiration, someone who heard through the grapevine about him, adopted him.  Yay for Max!maxt Im Too SlowWe had managed a mini sneak peak on Facebook, (If you didn’t see him on Facebook, why not?  You should go on over and “Like” us.  You find out lots of stuff there first.) so I knew I had to blog about him and explain why you weren’t going to be seeing any more of this handsome guy. We (and by we, I mean me) will try and do better next time!maxl 3 Im Too Slow
